Department 56 Dickens' Village The Cottage of Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim #6500-5 – 1986 – Original Box

Of all the houses in Dickens' Village, none carries more heart than this one. The Cottage of Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim is the humble home of Scrooge's clerk and his family from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol — a whitewashed cottage under a steep, snow-dusted thatched roof, with two hand-painted wooden plaques beside the front windows reading “BOB CRATCHIT” and “TINY TIM.”

The hand-painted porcelain piece is full of storybook detail: a richly textured thatch roof in warm honey tones with sculpted snow patches, a tall gable section joined to a lower wing, a white chimney capped in red, green-trimmed multipane windows, a welcoming red front door (and a second red plank door at the back), half-timbered gable ends, and exposed stone at the corners. Introduced in 1986 in the Heritage Village Collection's Dickens' Village Series and retired in 1995, this example comes complete with its original retail box and fitted Styrofoam packaging, plus a NEW LED lighting cord and bulb — installed and tested, and the lighting works perfectly.
