Vintage Indian Beaded & Sequined Elephant Textile Art – Framed Pair
A beautifully detailed matched pair of vintage textile artworks depicting elaborately decorated ceremonial elephants. Each elephant is constructed with dense black sequins and beadwork, highlighted by ivory seed beads, elongated bugle beads, and softly iridescent peach-toned sequins.
The intricate embellishment creates decorative saddle cloths and ornamental patterns across the elephants, with extensive dimensional bead and sequin work throughout. The two elephants face opposite directions, making them especially attractive when displayed together.
Based on the style, materials, construction, and comparison with documented examples, these pieces are attributed to India and believed to date to the late 20th century. No maker's signature or label has been identified.
