Vintage Department 56 Dickens’ Village Old Michaelchurch – 1992 – Original Box – Excellent Condition

A storybook English village church in stone and timber, “Old Michaelchurch” is one of the classic early buildings from Department 56’s Dickens’ Village Series. Introduced in 1992, the handpainted porcelain church rises to a tall tower capped with a brown spire and black finial, red and green ivy climbing its half-timbered walls.

The molded underside reads “Dickens’ Village Series – Old Michaelchurch – © Department 56 1992,” with the original inspector sticker marked “Made in Taiwan.” Details include a wreath with a red bow beside the double front doors — one standing slightly ajar — a lantern over the doorway, and molded snow resting on the shingled roofs. It comes in its original Department 56 retail box with the original booklet, and a brand-new replacement light cord and bulb are included.
