A striking and beautifully detailed vintage African American Santa from Duncan Collection, dating to approximately 1995.
This substantial collectible Santa stands approximately 12 inches tall and features an exceptionally detailed cream-colored robe, colorful African-inspired woven-pattern scarf, jeweled crown, decorative staff with tassel, and a shoulder sack filled with intricately sculpted gifts.
Matching documented examples identify this design as Duncan Collection’s limited-edition African American Santa, Item #10201. These pieces were individually numbered when originally issued, although the original numbered identification label is no longer present on this example.
The craftsmanship is outstanding, from the textured fabric effects and hand-painted facial details to the tiny decorative accents throughout the crown, cuffs, staff, and gift-filled sack.
This example is in exceptionally clean vintage condition and presents beautifully. No obvious chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs are visible. The staff, tassel, fingers, crown details, and decorative elements remain intact. Please review photographs carefully as they are an important part of the condition description.
