A hard-to-find Duncan Royale collectible created for the celebrated History of Santa Claus collection.
Unlike the individual Santa characters normally encountered from this series, this distinctive 1990 piece was produced as a "Signature Piece" for the History of Santa Claus collection. The figure stands beside a dimensional sign reading "History of Santa Claus - Limited Edition," making it an especially appealing display piece for an established Duncan Royale collection.
The original underside label identifies the piece as: History of Santa Claus - Signature Piece - Reg. USA - © 1990 M. E. Duncan Fullerton Ca. - Made in Philippines.
This retired display piece is considerably less commonly encountered than the standard History of Santa Claus figurines and makes an excellent centerpiece for a Duncan Royale Christmas collection. The whimsical figure features a traditionally dressed helper or elf posed beside the History of Santa Claus sign, with a small sack of colorful toys at his feet. Duncan Royale's characteristic hand-finished detailing is visible throughout the face, clothing, faux-fur trim, sign, toys and textured base.
A wonderful opportunity for the Duncan Royale collector seeking one of the more unusual pieces associated with the History of Santa Claus series.
