This extraordinary vintage collectible depicts Grandfather Frost, the legendary winter gift-giver of Russian folklore, accompanied by his enchanting granddaughter, the Snowmaiden. Grandfather Frost, traditionally known as Ded Moroz, has been part of Eastern European winter celebrations for generations. His granddaughter, Snegurochka, serves as his beloved companion, making this pairing especially meaningful to collectors of international Christmas traditions.

The sculpture features magnificent hand-painted detailing, elaborate traditional costumes, rich jewel-tone colors, and intricate sculptural craftsmanship. Grandfather Frost wears a fur-trimmed deep-green robe and fur hat and carries his twisted ceremonial staff topped with a silver orb, while the Snowmaiden stands gracefully beside him, hand in hand, in a pale aqua coat patterned with lavender leaves and fastened with silver bells, wearing an elaborate jeweled kokoshnik-style headdress with pink ribbons. The two figures stand together on a shared snowy base.
