Vintage Department 56 Dickens' Village Wackford Squeers Boarding School #5925-0 – 1988 – Original Box

Wackford Squeers' boarding school — Dotheboys Hall from Charles Dickens' Nicholas Nickleby — as Department 56 imagined it for the Dickens' Village Series: a snow-covered, hand-painted porcelain schoolhouse with a steep shingled roof, three red chimneys, and its name lettered over the door. Introduced in 1988 and retired in 1991, it is part of the Heritage Village Collection.

This example is pre-owned in excellent vintage condition and comes in its original Department 56 box (the box shows storage and corner wear, as photographed). The light cord is a new replacement and is included with its bulb; the lighting has been tested and works. The underside is marked "Dickens' Village Series — Wackford Squeers Boarding School," © Department 56 1988, and Made in Taiwan.
