Vintage Department 56 Dickens' Village The Old Curiosity Shop #5905-6 Retired

Two Victorian storefronts under one roofline. The Old Curiosity Shop — named for Charles Dickens's beloved novel — pairs its own white-plastered shopfront, hand-lettered sign, and swagged Christmas garland with the half-timbered Rare Books shop next door, and the far end of the building carries a third fascia: Antiques – H. Poole. Dark slate and red tile roofs wear patches of snow over textured brickwork, glowing amber windows, and a wreath on the Rare Books door.

This is an original Department 56 Dickens' Village Series building from the Heritage Village Collection, introduced in December 1987 and retired in December 1999. It is hand-painted porcelain, made in the Philippines — the underside is molded "Dickens' Village Series – Old Curiosity Shop – © Department 56 1987" with its original "Made in Philippines" sticker.
