Department 56 Dickens' Village Lomas Ltd. Molasses #5808-6 MINT

A Dickens' Village shop with a storybook silhouette: the Lomas Ltd. Molasses building climbs a flight of stone steps to its arched front door, tucked under a steep, wavy thatched roof dusted with snow. The hanging sign reads "Lomas Ltd. Molasses and Treacle," and barrels, a red bench, and wheat sheaves dress the green stone base.

Lomas Ltd. Molasses is one of the three Pump Lane Shoppes buildings, alongside Bumpstead Nye and Wm. Wheat Cakes & Puddings. Department 56 introduced it in December 1993 and retired it in December 1996. The underside is molded "Dickens' Village Series — Lomas Ltd. Molasses — © Department 56 1993," with its original inspection sticker reading Made in Taiwan.

A note on the number: Department 56's own record for this building is #5808-6. The original box is printed #5808-4 — that is the number of the Pump Lane Shoppes set the building belongs to, and Dept 56 printed the set number on the individual boxes. Both numbers are shown in the photos so you can match them to your own records.

This example is in mint condition and comes with its original retail box and fitted Styrofoam. A brand-new replacement lighting cord with an LED bulb is included, and the lighting works.
