Vintage Dept 56 Dickens Village Bishops Oast House – 1990 – Original Box – Lighted

Add a charming piece of English countryside history to your Christmas village with Bishops Oast House, a hand-painted porcelain lighted building from Department 56's Heritage Village Collection, Dickens' Village Series.

Introduced in 1990 and retired in 1992, the building is modeled on a traditional English oast house, built to dry hops for brewing: two tall conical drying kilns with cowls rise behind a stone-textured farmhouse with red tile roofs, a rustic barn wing with double doors, stone steps to a front door hung with a Christmas wreath, and the hand-lettered "Bishops Oast" sign. The underside is stamped Dickens' Village Series "Bishops Oast House," © Department 56 1990, and carries its inspection sticker, "Made in Taiwan ROC."
