Department 56 Tower of London – 1997 Historical Landmark Series – 5-Piece Set – Original Box

A magnificent piece of London's history, beautifully recreated by Department 56. This “Tower of London” is the inaugural grouping of the Historical Landmark Series in the Dickens' Village collection, introduced in 1997 (Item #58500) — an impressive five-piece, hand-painted porcelain rendering of England's most famous fortress.

The set of five includes the White Tower — an elaborate lighted main structure, and the oldest part of the Tower — together with the Wakefield and Bloody Towers and a wall section, a raven master with two ravens (the Tower's legendary guardians), a second wall section with four more ravens perched upon it, and a landscaped “Tower of London” sign.

This example has been carefully preserved in its original Department 56 box with the original protective Styrofoam inserts — an unused, new-old-stock piece, offered as pre-owned. The original literature and the electrical lighting cord are included. The packaging has been opened for inspection and photography.
