Bring the timeless charm of Charles Dickens' Victorian England to your Christmas village with this Department 56 “Nephew Fred's Flat,” from the Dickens' Village Series in the Heritage Village Collection. Nephew Fred is Ebenezer Scrooge's ever-cheerful nephew in A Christmas Carol — and the little “1843” plaque on the front wall is the year Dickens published the story. The “Merry Christmas” sign by the door says everything about Fred.
The flat is a tall, narrow three-story brick townhouse: stacked bay windows with green trim, a red front door under a swag of Christmas garland, ivy climbing one corner, twin patches of snow on the dark shingle roof, and a tall stepped chimney rising along the side. It is designed for illumination, with warm light through the green windows. A new light cord and bulb are included.
Introduced in December 1991 and retired in December 1994, this pre-owned example comes with its original Department 56 box and protective Styrofoam packaging.
