Introduced in December 1989 and retired in December 1990, Green Gate Cottage was produced as a numbered limited edition of just 22,500 pieces — and this particular cottage is individually numbered 21,596 of 22,500, making it a distinctive addition to any Department 56 collection. The hand-painted porcelain building features traditional English cottage styling, charming architectural details, and a snow-covered roof that brings the atmosphere of a classic Dickensian Christmas village to life.
