Department 56 Dickens' Village Series "The Grapes Inn," 5th Edition from 1996, item #57534 — a Charles Dickens Signature Series piece from the Heritage Village Collection. The underside of the building tells its story: Charles Dickens, the Victorian novelist (1812–1870), while traveling, visited inns reminiscent of The Grapes Inn, and this edition of historic buildings was endorsed by the Charles Dickens Heritage Ltd. Foundation.

This riverside inn — "The Grapes: Old, Mild & Bitter Ales" — comes with its own Fish & Chips stand, three rowboats pulled up at its base, snow-dusted roofs, and Christmas garlands and wreaths throughout. A beautiful like-new example in mint condition that appears to be new, and is complete with its original accessories and packaging. A very attractive, complete example of this retired Dickens' Village piece, and an excellent addition to a Department 56 collection.

Condition: Like new — mint condition. We cannot confirm this piece was never used, but it appears to be new. The building and accessories are in excellent mint condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. The original outer box shows light shelf and storage wear consistent with age.
