Product Details
The Christmas Carol Cottage is the Cratchit family home from A Christmas Carol, made by Department 56 for the Dickens' Village Series' Christmas Carol Revisited collection. The hand-painted porcelain cottage has a thatched roof with snow accents, glowing windows with red-cross shutters, the Bob & Mary Cratchit stone and Tiny Tim sign by the red gate — and the tall chimney built for Dept 56's “Magic Smoke” effect, so the chimney appears to smoke.
Please read before buying: this cottage is still sealed in its original Styrofoam packaging and has not been fully unwrapped or inspected, which is how it will ship. It appears excellent to mint and possibly unused. The original lighting and the “magic” smoking unit are present as pictured, but neither function has been tested and neither can be guaranteed. The bottle of “Magic Smoke” liquid is not included.
Photograph disclosure: The photos showing this cottage outside its packaging — the reference photo and the styled display scenes — are provided for visual interpretation and illustration purposes only. They do not depict the actual item being sold. The actual item is the cottage shown sealed in its original Styrofoam packaging in the remaining photos; please refer to those photos for its condition and included contents.
