A Stunning piece of early Japanese export porcelain, this antique 3 piece mayonnaise or sauce serving set from Noritake Morimura Brothers features vibrant Art Deco / Mediterranean -inspired scrollwork.
Hand-painted in rich tones of plum, ochre yellow, deep teal, and brick red against an ivory porcelain ground, the double handled bowl sits atop a matching scalloped underplate and includes it's rare, matching hooked porcelain ladle.,
These pieces feature the authentic red Noritake "M in Wreath" Hand Painted Made in Japan backstamp, dating this set to the 1920's

Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs noted on the bowl, underplate or ladle. Hand painted enamel detailing remains crisp and vibrant with only light, expected vintage shelf wear to the bottom unglazed foot rings.
