Vintage 1992 “America” Scherenschnitte Framed Cut-Paper Folk Art
A beautifully detailed vintage scherenschnitte work featuring a spread-wing American bald eagle, American flag, floral elements, geometric rosettes, and an elaborate cut-paper border surrounding the script word “America.”
The artwork is dated 1992 and carries two separate artist markings at the lower right: “Eavenson 92” along with the initials “RW.” Both markings remain clearly visible and are an important part of the piece.
The intricate paper-cut composition is presented beneath glass with cream and muted red matting in a richly figured brown wood frame. The warm frame and traditional presentation complement the Americana folk-art design beautifully.
