Vintage Franconia Krautheim Millefleurs China – 53-Piece Service for 8

A remarkable collection of Bavarian porcelain elegance.

A beautiful 53-piece vintage dinner service in the Millefleurs pattern by Franconia-Krautheim of Selb, Bavaria, Germany — eight complete five-piece place settings plus nine matching serving groups, in mint condition throughout. The pattern, whose French name means “a thousand flowers,” scatters delicate bouquets and floral sprays in pink, lavender, violet, blue, and yellow over luminous white porcelain, finished with scalloped edges and fine gold trim. The sculpted branch handles and flower finials on the serving pieces give the set its distinctive, distinguished presence.

The maker
Krautheim’s origins date to 1884, when Christoph Krautheim established a porcelain-decorating business in Selb, Bavaria; Richard Adelberg joined in 1888, and the firm became part of the distinguished Bavarian porcelain tradition, including service as a supplier to the Royal Bavarian Court. Krautheim opened its own porcelain factory in 1912. The Millefleurs pattern was produced circa 1964–1975 and has long been discontinued — which dates this service roughly 50 to 60 years old. The maker’s backstamp, photographed on the platter in the final images, reads Franconia — K & A Krautheim, Selb Bavaria, Germany, with the Millefleurs pattern name in script, confirming the maker, origin, and pattern.
