Product Details
An impressive vintage porcelain statue of Lu Xing, the Chinese Star God of prosperity, official rank and achievement — one of the Sanxing, the three Star Gods traditionally kept for good fortune. The bearded official stands in full ceremonial dress: an ornate gold headdress crowned with red and green orbs and a red finial, a flowing black beard, and a green ruyi scepter — the emblem of authority and wishes fulfilled — held in his left hand.
His coral-red outer robe is patterned with gold dragons and clouds, opening over pale celadon panels painted with blue and red peonies, cloud scrolls and a mountain-and-wave hem, with a jeweled chest panel at the center. The underside retains its original “Made in Taiwan” metallic foil label, together with worn stamped production marks. The manufacturer is unidentified and the exact production date is unknown.
