The deer is depicted resting with its head raised and prominent branching antlers. Decorative details include an ornate saddle-style blanket, embellished collar, and raised medallion motifs along the body. The brass has developed an attractive naturally aged surface with areas of darker coloration and blue-green verdigris that give the piece considerable character.
Its elongated pose and detailed antlers create an impressive profile while the approximately 4-pound weight gives it a substantial, quality feel.
