The Red Lion Inn is the landmark that anchors Main Street in Norman Rockwell's beloved painting "Stockbridge at Christmas" — and Hawthorne's illuminated sculpture recreates the great white inn in miniature: three stories of white clapboard, twin bay-window wings, two red entrance doors with their own front steps, dormer windows under a snow-covered charcoal roof, and three brick chimneys. From Hawthorne's Porchlight Collections, in the Norman Rockwell's Christmas in Stockbridge collection.
This example is in mint condition and comes with its original Certificate of Authenticity — Sculpture No. 19306A, matching the number printed on the underside of the piece — its original box and fitted Styrofoam packaging, and a new replacement LED lighting cord. The original cardboard box shows age-related storage wear and discoloration; the building itself remains mint.
