Department 56 The Old Curiosity Shop #5905-6 NEW IN BOX Dickens' Village

Two Dickens storefronts under one roofline: The Old Curiosity Shop, its white main block dressed with a green garland and red bows beneath a dark slate roof dusted with snow, joined to the half-timbered Rare Books wing with a wreath on its door — and a third fascia at the far end, “Antiques – H. Poole.” It is one of the most characterful buildings in the Dickens' Village series.

Department 56 introduced The Old Curiosity Shop in December 1987 and retired it in December 1999. The box is printed 5905-6, Handpainted Porcelain, © Department 56, in the Heritage Village Collection's Dickens' Village Series. This model was made in the Philippines.

This example is new in its original box — a never-displayed unit. The box was opened for photographs only: the building has never been removed from its fitted Styrofoam, the original lighting cord is still sealed in its factory plastic bag, and the green Heritage Village booklet is included. Because the piece remains in its packaging, the light has not been tested.
